IPSG Pre-conference, April 11-13

This year's pre-conference meeting in DC will bring together geographers who work with Indigenous Peoples. This gathering will nurture those relationships we have already established as well as those we have yet to make. We will have an opportunity to learn about the Piscataway and the Accokeek Foundation, http://www.accokeek.org/; share a lunch together; visit St. Ignatius Church , founded in 1641 where Piscataway were converted to Catholicism; and tour both the NMAI Cultural Resources Center in Suitland, MD and the Museum on the Mall.
